Last week I got a call from one of my mentees and she was really upset.
A few months ago, she was referred by a former colleague for a Country HR Head role in one of the most well-known worldwide communication companies.
After being interviewed by 6 different HR professionals, including the Global HR Head - the hiring manager - and after receiving no feedback, she decided to call the recruiter.
The recruiter seemed nice stating they were still interviewing a few candidates and promised to contact her once next steps were defined.
More than 3 months passed and nothing. Last week she was surprised by finding out via LinkedIn that the position had already been filled.
Until when will we all pretend that the lack of any courtesy and basic recruiting skills are ok?
For better human beings and HR professionals all over the world!
